Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
SleepWell Kids ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our website and services. By using SleepWell Kids, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Email Address: Provided voluntarily when you request your personalized sleep plan.
- Quiz Responses:Information about your child's age range, sleep patterns, and habits that you provide through our quiz. This data is used solely to generate your personalized sleep plan.
- Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you interact with our website (pages visited, time spent) to improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Generate your personalized 14-day sleep plan
- Send you your sleep plan and any requested follow-up information
- Improve our service and user experience
- Respond to your inquiries or support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)
SleepWell Kids is a service for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or older. It is not directed at children, and children are not permitted to use it.
- We do not knowingly collect any information directly from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). If we learn that a child has submitted information to us, we will delete it promptly.
- Information about your child is provided by you, the parent or guardian, and is deliberately minimal: an age range(e.g. "1-2 years") and behavioral sleep patterns (e.g. number of night wakings). We never ask for and do not want your child's name, date of birth, photos, precise location, or any identifiers.
- Child-related information is used for one purpose only: generating your sleep plan. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles of children, and we never sell or share it.
- As the parent or guardian, you may review, correct, or delete all data associated with your account at any time by emailing support@sleepwellkids.org. Deletion requests are processed within 14 days.
- For users in the EU/UK: our lawful basis for processing is the performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — generating your sleep plan — and your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by requesting deletion.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Cloudflare D1) with encryption in transit and at rest, protected by industry-standard security practices. Access is limited to what is necessary to operate the service. We deliberately minimize what we store: an email address, quiz answers (age range and sleep behaviors), your generated plan, and optional daily check-ins.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We generally retain your quiz responses and sleep plan for up to 12 months to help you revisit your plan and for service improvement. You can email us at support@sleepwellkids.org to request deletion of your data at any time, and we will process your request within 14 days.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: Website hosting, data storage (D1), and privacy-first analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or track individuals).
- OpenRouter/AI Services: To generate personalized sleep plans. Quiz responses are sent without your email or any identifier — the AI provider receives only anonymous age-range and sleep-behavior inputs.
- Stripe:For processing Pro plan purchases. Payment details (card number, billing address) are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page and never touch our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the email you used. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
- Resend: For sending transactional emails (your plan and access link).
- Microsoft Clarity (if enabled): Anonymized usage analytics to improve the service. No child data is included in analytics.
